Florida law requires all Food Handlers to be trained in food safety. All food and beverage employees that have do not hold a current Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certification (owners, chefs, managers, shift supervisors) are deemed Food Handlers and must complete a Florida-approved Food Handler training course.
Food Handler training is a two-hour class at your facility using the Florida-approved SafeStaff/ServSafe® Food Handler course and materials. Students are provided with a course book and wallet card upon completion of the Food Handler Course. Facilities receive a Food Hander certificate for each employee who completes the training to be retained in each employee’s personnel file and presented to the local health authority upon request.
The Forida-approved SafeStaff/ServSafe® Food Handler training is valid for three years from the completion date.
Cost: $30 per student, plus instructor fee. Minimum of 10 per class.
Since most foodborne illnesses can be prevented, FSA Training focuses on prevention. Our training focuses on employee behaviors and managerial controls that can prevent foodborne illnesses. By far, this style of training is most effective.
